When custom e-commerce software development pays off

  1. 1.

Your process is your edge, and no SaaS tool models it.

  2. 2.

Subscription fees grow with every account and every seat.

  3. 3.

Third-party tools hold your data and your clients' data.

  4. 4.

Five tools, five logins, and still no single view.

Your team and clients use a web application whose business logic, scheduled workers and database sit in a client-owned codebase, connected to the marketplace APIs and to existing systems such as the ERP or Google Sheets.CLIENT-OWNED CODEBASErequeststasksprices, orders, listingssyncTEAM / CLIENTSBrowserWEB APPUI / admin panelBUSINESS LOGICYour rulesWORKERSScheduled jobsDATABASEPostgreSQLMARKETPLACE APISSP-API / Ads APIEXISTING SYSTEMSERP / Sheets

What the engagement covers.

  1. 01

    Tools for sellers and vendors

Order management, repricing and analytics tools that link marketplace data and remove manual work.

  2. 02

Questions engineers ask us.

Q01Who owns the software after you build it?

You do. Once the project is delivered, you legally own everything needed to run, maintain or extend it: source code, scripts, project files and executables.

Q02What does a custom build cost?

It depends on complexity, the systems to integrate and the support you need. Past projects ranged from $7,000 to hundreds of thousands of dollars. We quote in detail after a free discovery call.

Q03Do you maintain the software after launch?

Yes, through flexible maintenance packages. If you decide you don't need support, that's fine too: the code is yours.

Q04We have an idea but not the full feature list. Can you help define it?

Yes. We run workshops of 16 to 80 hours to work through the functionality with you and design the concept before anything is built.

Q05Our project is not about Amazon or marketplaces. Can you still help?

Yes. Marketplace commerce is our specialisation, but we also build for logistics, agriculture, automotive and other industries.
